Sample Denim, a well-known company that makes denim jeans for big fashion brands in Mexico, wanted to update its image. They aimed to match the style of higher-end brands, so they needed a fresh look that showed professionalism and elegance. I had interned at Sample Denim during my university years, making this project special to me. The CEO, a long-time acquaintance, trusted me with this important task in 2021, adding a personal touch to the project.
The goal was clear: to create a brand that looked professional. We needed to use the unique shades of denim blue and include graphics inspired by the jeans themselves.
Discovery & Research:
Started with thorough market research, looking at competitors and understanding the unique position Sample Denim wanted to achieve. This included studying the history of denim, its cultural significance, and current fashion trends.
Client Workshops:
Held brainstorming sessions with key stakeholders, including the CEO. This helped ensure we shared the same vision and gave valuable insights into the company’s goals and values.
Conceptualization:
After research and discussions, I moved into the design phase. I experimented with different visual ideas, sketched out concepts, and refined them based on the insights gathered.
